The Umrah is a less significant but nonetheless obligatory journey than Hajj. Umrah Packages All Inclusive from the UK ensure a steady flow of visitors throughout the year from all over the world to perform the religious rites.

The four main rites that make up Umrah are:

  1. Entering the Ihram rite.
  2. Circling the Holy Kaabah, or Tawaf. 3 The Sayee of Safa and Marwah.
  3. Halq/Taqsir

This 15-step guide covers the most important aspects of the Umrah as taught by the Hanafi school of thought.

  1. Wudhu. A pilgrim must undertake Ghusl (the ritual of shaving off excess hair and cutting the nails) before putting on his Ihram garments. A pilgrim can also perform Wudhu if Ghusl is not obligatory for them. However, this can only be accomplished from the Meeqat area. To prepare for Ihram, this is called wudhu.
  2. Putting on the Ihram. In order to wear the ihram garments, one must first reach a state of perfect physical purity.
  3. the Ihram (or Dawn) Prayer. Performing two rakats of Salat-al-Ihram after donning Ihram garments but before making the Niyyah for Umrah is a sunnah act.
  4. Niyyah is the fourth. From the Meeqat area, the pilgrim must now perform the Niyyah for Umrah, marking the beginning of the Umrah journey.
  5. Talbiyah Talbiyah is said by travellers after making Niyyah for Umrah to confirm their purpose and enter the state of Ihram.

A Muhrim is a Muslim who has entered the state of Ihram. At this point, the pilgrim must take special care to adhere to all of the permissive and prohibitive requirements of Ihram. Otherwise, restitution in the form of a fine is necessary.

  1. Arriving in Makkah. Pilgrims are obligated to continuously recite Talbiyah, conduct Dhikr, and send Salawat upon the Prophet (SAWW) as they make their way to the Grand Mosque of Makkah to fulfil the holy ceremonies.
  2. Entering Masjid al-Haram. Visiting Masjid al-Haram through the Gate of Peace (Bab al-Salam) is a sunnah action. As you recite the prayer for entering Masjid al-Haram, keep in mind that you should enter the mosque with your right foot first.
  3. Upon first seeing the Kaaba. As you enter the mosque, strive to keep your head down until you reach the Mataf area. Then, steadily raise your eyes to the Holy Kaabah while you pray and send Salawat (prayer offerings) to Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW).
  4. Tawaf al-Umrah Tawaf of the Holy Kaabah consists of seven circuits, each of which must begin and conclude at Hajar-al-Aswad and be performed in an anticlockwise direction. It is also recommended that at the beginning and finish of each tawaf circuit, you recite the Istilam prayer.
  5. Salat ad-Tawaaf A pilgrim must perform two rakats of salah-al-Tawaf near Maqam-e-Ibrahim after completing the Tawaf.
  6. The use of the Zamzam water. Take a sip of the Zamzam water after doing your Salat-al-Tawaf prayers.
  7. Iltizam. Make your way to Iltizam. During this ritual, worshippers touch the wall of the Holy Kaabah with their cheeks, chests, and hands.
  8. Sayee. After finishing Tawaf, one should hurry to do Sayee, which entails making seven circuits across the highlands of Safa and Marwah.
